WordPress has become far more than a blogging platform.
Businesses of all sizes and types are using WordPress as the content management system of their website. Advantages to using WordPress include ease of updates, availability of cheap themes and layouts, and built-in search engine optimization and other easily plugged-in functionality.
Not only that, but the WordPress software itself is free!
Some of my site examples are completely WordPress-driven (the entire site is controlled via WordPress). Others are WordPress blogs that were added to existing websites that remain in their originally designed HTML, .Net, PHP, etc.
In some cases I designed a WordPress theme to match the existing site’s design, so the transition to the company blog is seamless. In others, a free WordPress theme was chosen and customized with the client’s logo.
